Road Sector joint statement for COP27s
The FORESEE EU Project Conference
The 27th Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC (COP 27) is hosted this year on 6-18 November in Egypt. The objective is to accelerate global climate action through emissions’ reduction, scaled-up adaptation efforts, and enhanced flows of appropriate finance able to ensure a ‘just transition’.
The ERF and other leading organisations in the road sector have come together to restate the sector’s firm commitment to effectively reduce CO2 emissions to net-zero by 2050 in line with the Paris Agreement.
The European Union Road Federation (ERF) is a non-profit association which coordinates the views of Europe’s road infrastructure sector and acts as a platform for research and dialogue on mobility issues between stakeholders and institutional players.
